Review Continued...
The Halifax All in One credit card offers a great low introductory interest rate on purchases, perfect for credit card users that don't always manage to clear their balance each month.
After it's over, the Halifax All in One credit card's up to 59 days interest free period gives you a little extra time than most cards to repay your purchases in full without being charged any interest.
0% on balance transfers
There's also a 0% balance transfer deal - at 10 months it may not be the longest on the market but it makes up for it by being the same length as the purchases deal.
This niftily avoids the infamous allocation of payments problem - many other credit cards will allow you to rack-up interest charges on your purchases which then become 'trapped' behind the balance that you've transferred from elsewhere.
It is important to remember that balance transfers to the Halifax All in One credit card do carry a handling fee.
However this is only 3% of the balance you are transferring, and will be much less than the savings you'll make in interest costs.
Balance transfers must also be made within the first 90 days of opening the account to qualify for the promotional rate. Purchases however can be made throughout the promotional 10 month period and will remain at 0% for 10 months starting from the date of account opening.
0% on purchases
Alongside the mouth-watering 0% balance transfers for 10 months, the Halifax credit card also gives you a 0% interest rate on all your purchases for 10 months too.
This is very pleasing deal, as you won't find yourself knee-deep in interest charges if you want to transfer a balance and use the Halifax All in One credit card for new purchases too.
Note that introductory offers never include cash transactions, so always make sure to use a debit card if you need to withdraw cash or buy foreign currency and traveller's cheques.
