Top 10 secrets on how to keep balance transfers saving you money rather than lining the pockets of your credit card issuer

CAPITAL One makes the headlines this week, with the launch of some new 'best buy' credit cards, offering some fantastic deals for consumers with an excellent credit rating. However, the Capital One Cashback with World MasterCard credit card has been pulled by Capital One – are there plans to re-launch the credit card in the future?

Best buy balance transfer now 16 months

CAPITAL One has recently launched their new Capital One Balance Transfer and Purchase credit card, with 0% on balance transfers for 16 months. The launch of the Capital One Balance Transfer and Purchase credit card has put Capital One in pole position when it comes to comparing 0% balance transfer credit card deals.

Another bonus is the offer of 0% on purchases until November 2008, as well as Capital One's unique free identity theft service. With the security features that Capital One offers, this is one of the best balance transfer deals out there.

Capital One launches new 'best buy' credit card range

AS well as the new Capital One Balance Transfer and Purchase credit card, Capital One has launched a range of 'best buy' credit cards, including the Capital One Low Rate Balance Transfer credit card, which offers a fantastic low rate on balance transfers for the life of the balance. At just 5.5% on balance transfers, it's one of the best deals available.

In addition, Capital One has launched a Low Rate credit card, offering a competitive 8.5% APR rate and no balance transfer fee. With such a low constant rate, you don’t need to worry about low-rate promotional periods ending, enabling you to manage your finances easily.

The recently re-launched Capital One Platinum credit card offers a typical APR of just 12.9%, a very competitive interest rate. The low interest rate isn't the only tempting factor, as the credit card also offers 0% on balance transfers for 15 months, as well as 0% on purchases for 15 months. There has never been such a long 0% period offered on both balance transfers and purchases - so well done to Capital One! There really is very little about the Capital One Platinum credit card that could be improved.

In short, the new additions to the Capital One range serve to ensure that Capital One remains one of the forerunners in the credit card market. The launch of the Capital One Balance Transfer and Purchase credit card has nudged Virgin out of first place in the balance transfer market, and credit card issuers will find it difficult to match the deals offered by Capital One.

Capital One drops World MasterCard

JUST weeks after Capital One launched the new Capital One Cashback with World MasterCard credit card, the credit card is nowhere to be seen. Even MasterCard’s own website is currently redirecting to a Capital One error page http://www.mastercard.com/uk/personal/en/world/index.html and it is unknown as to whether a new Capital One World MasterCard is in the pipeline or not.
